Project Seek - #5 - Torresian Crow

Location: This defensive adult kangaroo was photographed at Wacol, Brisbane.

Fact: The Torresian Crow is one of the few native species that has figured out how to eat the invasive Cane Toad without dying. They use their robust bills to flip the toad onto its back, exposing the soft underbelly. They then meticulously eat the tongue, thighs, and intestines, completely avoiding the toxic parotoid glands on the toad's back. Smarty pants!
