Project Seek - #8 - Swamp Wallaby or Wallabia bicolor

Location: This little cutie was in the bush by the Downfall Creek Bushland Centre, along with a few of his friends.

Fact: They have a very strong, musky odor (hence the nickname "Stinker"). if you're hiking and suddenly smell something "swampy" or like wet dog, freeze—there’s likely one nearby. They are much darker than other wallabies. Their fur is a "bicolor" mix of charcoal-grey to black on the back, with a rusty-orange belly and a distinct pale yellow cheek stripe.
